I asked our witnesses at today’s hearing what they would say to Americans who have fallen victim to anti-immigrant rhetoric. Listen to their responses:

As King Charles came to Washington, DC, he ignored the request of Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s family for a meeting. I joined a roundtable with her family, to once again demand justice for the Epstein survivors — and demand that their stories be heard in the halls of power.

Between the SAVE Act, the Epstein cover up, cuts of health care and SNAP — Trump and Republicans have launched an all out assault on women and families. But that’s not enough for them. Now they’re working to repeal the FACE Act, a law that protects women from violence at health clinics.

Trump’s attacks on civil rights and DEI don’t just harm minority communities — they hurt us all. Diversity makes us all stronger.

Republicans held a hearing on the Southern Poverty Law Center and “manufacturing hate.” The reality is that the Trump administration is targeting SPLC for its work against white nationalism & extreme right-wing ideas. If we want to talk about hate, let’s look at Trump first.

Trump isn’t going after the “worst of the worst” — he’s going after all immigrants. And we must be clear eyed about this — he’s using immigrants as a testing ground for stripping Constitutional protections for ALL of us.

The President of the United States traded TENS of MILLIONS of dollars in stocks this year. This should be illegal. Members of Congress, the President, and Vice President should ALL be banned from trading stocks. That’s why I’m leading bipartisan efforts to do just that.

Repealing legislation that stops people from harassing patients at health clinics that provide abortion means it’s harder for Americans to access: ❌ Cancer screenings ❌ STD testing ❌ Pre and post natal care ❌ Infertility services That’s what Republicans are fighting for.

It took me 17 years and an alphabet soup of visas to become a U.S. citizen. And in Congress, I’ll continue working to protect and expand legal pathways to citizenship, including for TPS holders.
