This President has not provided Congress with a single meaningful briefing on a war he started seven weeks ago without our authorization, without a plan, and without a strategy for how it ends.

🚨BREAKING: The House just passed a war powers resolution to stand up to Trump and take the first step toward ending his unauthorized war in Iran. Congress has the power to declare war, not the president. It is time to put an end to this war once and for all. The Senate needs to act now.

I’ll say what Washington Republicans won’t: This is a totally unauthorized war. Congress never debated it. And every day Republicans stay silent, they’re complicit in it. It is a surrender of Congress’s constitutional authority that belongs to the American people, not to the President.

Speaker Johnson is actively choosing to let TSA workers go without pay. The Senate passed a DHS funding bill, and he is refusing to bring it to the floor.

No president in modern history has used the office to enrich himself the way Donald Trump has. That's not a political opinion. It’s the conclusion of ethics watchdogs who have spent their careers watching this stuff.

Good to know. So, the fraudsters and cheats who donated millions to Trump and then got a pardon from him — they’re on notice too, right? You can’t declare war on fraud with one hand and hand out pardons to convicted fraudsters with the other.

It may be rare these days, but bipartisanship still exists in Washington, and this is what it looks like. This week, we passed a large Military Construction and Veterans Affairs funding bill that delivers for our service members and our veterans in ways that matter.

The Department of Energy canceled 321 grants worth $7.5 billion last October. Every single one was in a state that voted against the President. Not a single project in a red state was touched. This week, I asked Energy Secretary Wright a simple question: why?

We knew this would happen. When you pardon 1,500 people with nothing, no conditions and no monitoring, some of them are going to go out and hurt people.

Some of my colleagues keep pointing to the 60-day clock in the War Powers Act as cover for this war. Either they haven’t read the law or they're hoping you haven’t. The 60-day emergency provision exists for one situation: if the United States is attacked. Iran didn’t attack us, we attacked them.
