Up and down the country residents are stuck with councils that simply do not represent them. Even in a hung council, First Past the Post delivers too many seats to the largest party. Proportional systems would bring balance, while First Past the Post throws it out the window

If people don't feel represented by politicians - why would they bother voting for them? As Emma Harrison, CEO of Make Votes Matter says: We need to change the voting system to fix politics for the voters - so they actually feel represented, and re-engage in politics.

In Richmond, Lib Dems won 100% of the seats - for 51% of the votes. In Wigan, Reform won 96% of available seats with 46% of the vote. Lib Dems do not believe this is ok. But the Prime Minister "still has confidence" in this system. What do you think?
