Spain shows the case for migrant rights is not only a moral one but an economic one. Right now, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is going in the opposite direction and the truth is, we're all going to be worse off. People need to be able to settle in our communities in a quick and affordable way.

Last week, MPs had the chance to speak up for migrant children living in poverty. A massive thank you to Olivia Blake MP for hosting this vital conversation and to all MPs who attended and contributed. This Government must protect EVERY child from poverty, no matter their background.

This Government says it wants to end child poverty. So why is it introducing policies that will push more children into it? If the Government is serious about ending child poverty, it must scrap the earned settlement proposals.
