I am very proud to support Devon Freewheelers and their open house on Sunday, 14th June. A brilliant team of volunteers transporting urgent blood and medical supplies for the NHS, day and night. If you can, go along and back the work they do.  🕙 10am–2pm | Honiton, EX14 1SJ #Devon #MP

Two-thirds of jobs in West Somerset depend on the visitor economy. Cathy in Porlock has seen her takings halve in a year. Paul, an antique dealer 10 miles inland in Dulverton, is down 70%. When the coast goes quiet, the whole area feels it.

There's a recruitment and retention crisis in our armed forces, and I'm yet to see a serious plan from this Government to deal with it. Yesterday I challenged the Minister on exactly that during the Armed Forces Bill debate. 👇 #Somerset #Devon #ArmedForces #MP #Parliament

This morning I led a debate on the future of community pharmacies. I know how much community pharmacies matter, especially in a rural area like ours. They are often the most accessible part of the NHS, and for many people, they are the first place they turn when something is wrong. #Somerset #Devon

Last week during parliamentary recess I was in Malawi with the charity Results UK, looking at the education of young children and learning about farming out there too. So much that stayed with me, and plenty to bring home. 📚🚜

Farmers and food businesses are losing money on Brexit red tape just to trade with our nearest neighbours. Dynamic alignment with EU food standards can't come soon enough. 📺 BBC Politics South West, 24 May 2026. #Somerset #Devon #Brexit #Trade #EU

I joined Martyn Oates on BBC Politics South West on Sunday, to discuss some of the issues that matter to us here in the constituency. 🎥Originally broadcast on BBC Politics South West, 24 May 2026. BBC Politics #BBC #Somerset #Devon #MP #Hunt #VAT

Rural domestic abuse is underreported and under-addressed. Last week I asked the Minister what the Government is doing to tackle the unique pressures rural victims face, and called for a special committee to address the issue.

Hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend.☀️ 🎥 Here's what I got up to last week as your Member of Parliament, from a very sunny Devon County Show. If there's anything I can help with, get in touch with me and my team at: rachel.gilmour.mp@parliament.uk #Somerset #Devon #MP

Yesterday, I intervened in the Backing Business to Create Economic Growth debate to make the case for rural transport in Tiverton and Minehead. 🚍️ Rural areas have been looked past by Government after Government, and my constituents deserve better. #Somerset #Devon #MP #Parliament

Weekly Roundup 🎥 A change of scenery this week. Filming this from my Westminster office. With Parliament back open it's been a busy week, the King's Speech, a new APPG, and a packed few days in the constituency too. 🎬 #Somerset #Devon #MP #KingsSpeech

This morning, I featured in the Sky News piece: Is Britain ungovernable? My answer. No. Here's why I'm certain of that. Even now. 📺 Sky News #Somerset #Devon #MP #SkyNews #Parliament

The King's Speech included some encouraging words. But after months of turbulence and a Government that can't get out of its own way, there's no guarantee that any of what's been planned will ever become a reality. It's time for Sir Keir Starmer to step aside. #Devon #Somerset #MP #KingsSpeech

New week, new video 🎥 Thank you for all your kind comments on last week's video. With Parliament in prorogation, I’m able to spend more time here in the constituency. It’s always important to get out and about, and meet as many of you as possible. #Somerset #Devon #MP

Poland has repeatedly ignored return orders. Two international courts have now ruled against them for it. I made it clear to the Government that polite conversations with Warsaw are no longer good enough. British children deserve better! Full speech: y2u.be/3JFyyEDKckw #Somerset #Devon

Last week, I hosted a Westminster Hall debate on International Parental Child Abduction. This hits families in Tiverton and Minehead hard. Hundreds of children are taken from the UK by a parent every year, and the legal framework meant to bring them home is not working. #Parliament #MP

I'm trying something new this week! Instead of the usual graphic, here's a video of what I got up to last week. From Yeovil, to Westminster, and back to Tiverton and Minehead. Let me know if you like the new format! #Somerset #Devon #MP

Earlier today, I was in Watchet, talking about what this news means for B3191, and how the Council and I can continue to make the case for this road to be rebuilt. All eyes on the Govt now - it's time to act! (Bit windy this morning.... so apologies for the sound!) #Somerset

Yesterday I was on BBC Radio Devon, talking about Their Majesties' State Visit to America. Trump's behaving like an autocrat, discussing British territory in the Falklands, undermining our NATO Allies & disrespecting our Armed Forces. And the Govt reward him with a state visit? #Trump #KingCharles

Back in September 2025, I raised the fact that reports were in the media, commenting on Peter Mandelson having failed his DV clearance checks. Today, I asked the PM why he and his team pressed ahead with the appointment anyway. What a pathetic answer.

Whilst we wait for the Government's Defence Investment Plan, innovations continue from our Ukrainian allies at pace. After this week's news, the Government needs to wake up to the new realities, and urgently commit to a timeline for the Defence Investment Plan #Parliament #MoD

Across Tiverton and Minehead, only 30% of premises have full fibre - that's just 2,500 businesses - meaning many residents are still missing out on the benefits. Check the link here (openreach.com/fibre-checker) to see what fibre options are available at your address!

Since November, my team and I have been working behind the scenes to try to convince the Somerset NHS, and the Government, to make the temporary MRI and CT Scanners at Minehead Hospital permanent. We've raised it with the Minister, and the Chair, but to no avail - there 'isn't enough demand'. 1/

Just before Recess, I was privileged to speak on behalf of the Gurkha community, in a debate called by my Honourable and Gallant Friend, Cameron Thomas MP. Take a look at some of my speech below! (Find the full version here - parliamentlive.tv/event/index/...) #Parliament #Gurkhas

Last week at the Public Accounts Committee, I asked the CEO of Capita Public Services, Richard Holyroyd, whether, as former member of the Armed Services, he would fall on his sword, and take accountability for the systemic and total failures of the administration of the Civil Service Pension Scheme.

Last week in Parliament, I raised the case of Stevie from Willand, who met me at a surgery to talk about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and the lack of NHS support for suspected cranio-cervical instability (CCI). Her story moved me greatly, and it was a privilege to speak on her behalf in Parliament.
