The "do-nothing" Government strikes again - with a simple amendment to the Dublin Transport Authority Bill, which would allow the NTA to deliver BusConnects in our regional cities, taking months to progress.

No shame. No accountability. Irish civilians detained after being seized in international waters are now being used as political props by Israel’s far-right Government. What we’re witnessing is performative cruelty - propaganda in advance of potential elections in Israel.

A no. 1 vote for @janetphorner.bsky.social on Friday will have the biggest impact for Dublin Central in the Dáil. Get value for your vote - vote Green 💚

Where is Dublin's promised orbital "O" bus route? While we have the buses, it seems the Government is not providing the funding for the proposed O Spine, which will run orbitally around the North and South Circular Roads. I couldn't get an answer from the Ministers today either for a rollout date

Today I questioned the Taoiseach on the Tánaiste's recent remarks that further energy supports would be forthcoming, in particular for heat pumps and electric vehicles. The Taoiseach didn't respond to the question at all, instead reeling off a list of supports already in place. (1/2)

Quite a bizarre situation with RTI monitors being disconnected - I'm trying to get to the bottom of this. Are there any more you have seen that are out of action?

Across the country every year, parents of children with additional needs face a scramble for school places and supports, sometimes needing to submit multiple applications to different schools and only securing a place well into the summertime.

Spain shows us how we can insulate ourselves from future energy shocks and keep prices down for consumers - invest in renewables ASAP. We know what we need to do, we just need a Government that will do it.

The energy crisis IS the climate crisis. And we have a Government that is ignoring its climate commitments, at the long term expense of all of us. Show your support for our Earth Day Motion, demanding that the Govt recommit to its 2030 climate targets and steer us away from fossil fuel dependency

Today I am voting no confidence in the Government. They have not only failed in their reactions last week, but are now failing to lead us away from our fossil fuel dependence. Until we break this addiction, Irish families and businesses will all be at the mercy of the whims of Putin, Trump...

Some welcome news for residents in the Kilmartin area - new shops and amenities are close to being finished in the Kilmartin Local Centre development. More apts. will also be delivered here alongside the Kilmartin Town Centre development across the road, with a new creche being delivered here too.

Big claims, but a weak case presented by the airlines this week on the Dublin Airport passenger cap. EU legal opinion is that the passenger cap is likely lawful. The “Open Skies” argument is untested and unproven. What sounds convincing… isn’t holding up in court.

🌳ASHTOWN GATE JUNCTION Update BusConnects will eventually deliver a permanent redesign for this junction, which is at the crossroads of 3 jurisdictions; Fingal County Council, Dublin City Council and the OPW (1/2)

I raised again the lack of progress on a new school building for St. John Bosco Junior and Senior Boys' Schools and Mary Help of Christian Girls National School on the Navan Road this week (1/3)

Was the visit to the White House worthwhile? I'm not convinced - yesterday's event has shown that the shamrock ceremony has become a charade where the main aim is appeasement, rather than diplomacy.

The expansion of 24-hour bus services in Dublin in recent years has been a game changer - giving people more routes home and saving them money. I think a simple diversion of the 39A night time services would allow even more people in the Blanchardstown area to use the route.

⁉️Just 3 bus shelters built in all of Dublin in 2025? I was a bit taken aback by the Taoiseach's dismissal of my question to him today about his Govt's delivery of bus infrastructure - have a listen here. This Govt's deprioritising of public transport - against all evidence - is apparent again.

Drone technologies are moving fast - and legislation needs to keep pace 🚁 My bill to regulate commercial drone activity will this week advance to second stage in the Dáil. The Bill sets out clear rules on planning permission and noise complaints as drones become more common in our skies.

Taxi drivers presented at the Oireachtas Committee on Transport today. This point about priority pricing by the taxi apps was very interesting - we will pose further questions to the taxi app operators when they appear before the Committee next week.

🛝Great news for families in the Blanchardstown / Castleknock area, Laurel Lodge Playground is now open!

Minister O'Brien has committed to introducing the Blanchardstown - Dublin Airport bus before the end of the year. This route has already been pushed back several times - now we need to make sure that this timeline is adhered to.

Further delays on the rollout of BusConnects - here's an update about the long-awaited Blanchardstown - Dublin Airport route. The deprioritising of public transport by this Govt is having a knock-on effect on the delivery of promised bus routes all over the country - just when we need them most.

Another win for the car lobby this week in Brussels, as more of the Green deal is watered down. The only winners here will be Chinese EV manufacturers who will now come in to fill the gap left by these European companies.

IrishRail is to be commended for the extra services they have put on for big events recently - I think it shows that there is an appetite for intercity services beyond 8/9pm and later services on commuter routes too. Here's their response on whether these later services could be made permanent
