A nurse’s entire take-home pay now barely covers the average Dublin rent. People are being evicted while sick, grieving and struggling. This housing crisis is causing real human misery.

Nurses deserve more than applause. Safe staffing, workplace protections and proper support matter. A health service cannot keep running on burnout and political failure.

Fine Gael's broken promises keep piling up. One of the most damning is their failure to enact the Occupied Territories Bill. It's been eight years since it was introduced. It's been over a year since this govt came into power. Yet still no sign of the Bill. No more delays, no more inaction.

This weekend marked a pivotal moment for the Social Democrats. It's clear that people are looking for an alternative to this govt – and more and more people are looking to us as that alternative. We are determined to keep building, and ambitious for Ireland's future.

The history of Dublin's north inner city is one of bad planning. We can't let the fate of the Strand Pitch be another chapter in that history. Housing is vital – but so are community spaces. Dan will be an outspoken voice for the north inner city in the Dáil Vote Daniel Ennis no.1 this May 22nd.

Adults with intellectual disabilities are being left without the support they need. Families need proper respite care, funded disability housing and clear timelines now. The current system is failing people with disabilities and their loved ones.
