Today I raised the Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda. Years of cuts to UK aid mean we’re responding to global health crises with one hand tied behind our backs. I’ve asked the Government to update the House on its compliance with the International Development Act 2015.

Yesterday on Newsnight we discussed the tragic murder of Henry Nowak and the wider issue of knife crime. As a former police officer, I know how vital a public‑health and community‑focused approach is to preventing violence.

It is clear that Newburgh would benefit from having the railway station re-opened. It would support local businesses, improve connectivity and open up new opportunities for locals. I'll be writing to the new Scottish Transport Secretary to continue pushing for the station to be re-opened.

I raised serious concerns about ongoing system failures affecting Scottish carers with underlying entitlement to Carer Support Payment. I called on the Minister to ensure DWP staff understand Scottish benefits, fix the underlying errors & properly support the 1000s of carers who could be affected.

In my debate on Social Security Scotland and the DWP, I made it clear that carers shouldn’t be paying the price for system failures. When DWP systems misread information from Social Security Scotland, claimants are left facing wrong deductions, confusion and distress.

Investment in deterrence is far better than fighting a war unprepared. In the increasingly unstable landscape of global politics, ensuring UK businesses can access the Security Action for Europe program is vital.

Great to see a deposit‑taking ATM on Leven High Street, but we still need more banking hubs across Scotland. After years of pushing for better access to cash, I’m glad the UK Government is revisiting the criteria. Hoping this helps places like Leven get the face‑to‑face banking they deserve.

I raised the Government’s failure to release the full files on Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor’s appointment as Trade Envoy. I pressed the Minister on when the remaining papers will be released and whether safeguards will finally be put in place for future appointments.

Today I raised Dr Antonis Vradis, a much‑loved University of St Andrews academic and one of several British citizens detained in international waters by Israeli authorities. I also reiterated the urgent need to reopen aid routes into Gaza under UN oversight.

Today I raised the need for closer UK‑EU ties & a customs union to start repairing the economic damage caused since Brexit. While others can’t seem to make up their minds, Liberal Democrats are clear: a customs union is the most practical first step & we’ll keep pushing for it every chance we get.

Yesterday I presented a petition in Parliament calling for Government support for a banking hub in Cupar. With almost 600 signatures, this petition shows the strength of feeling across the community about the loss of banking services - I hope LINK take this on board as they consider my application.

Today I met with Capita to push for progress on the pension cases affecting constituents in North East Fife. I’m grateful for the updates I received, but it’s clear much more needs to be done.

I challenged the Government on the continued chaos at Westminster. Despite promises of stability, we’re facing a Prime Minister who has lost authority and a policy agenda offering little real change.

The Government’s family farm tax is having a real impact, and we need to do more to support the next generation into agriculture. Too many young people are being driven away - we must focus on building a sustainable future for farming.

Farmers are being squeezed by rising input costs, from fertiliser to energy, yet responses from the Government are far too slow. We need urgent, proactive action to support our agricultural sector and protect food security.

Yesterday, I raised concerns about DVLA delays and the impact this has had on a local councillor in North East Fife. I asked whether the Government will provide an update on plans to move these systems online so that they are more efficient and easier to navigate.

Today I raised the importance of ensuring allied health professionals have the access they need to support patients in the right settings, including in care homes. This is essential to helping people move out of hospital when they are ready and ensuring they receive the most appropriate care.

I took part in Procedure Committee as a witness to discuss the efficacy and standard of Written Parliamentary Questions. Often, we ask these questions to help our constituents which is why they are so important.

This morning I raised the urgent case of my constituent whose newborn baby is unable to fly back to the UK with him and continue medical treatment due to barriers imposed by the new dual nationality rules. I'm pleased the Leader of the House is going to see what can be done to help them.

During a debate on modernising Parliament, I spoke about the importance of ensuring Parliament’s traditions are balanced with making its work accessible. I also highlighted the importance of the UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Programme which a head teacher from North East Fife is part of.

Earlier today, I highlighted several accessibility challenges within Parliament and stressed the importance of addressing them as part of the restoration plans. I also raised concerns about how limited accessible options have affected people’s careers here - something that should not be happening.

Lobular breast cancer is vastly under-researched, and as a result it can be missed by clinicians as it fails to be detected on a mammogram or by ultra sound. I asked the Government to commit to funding for the Moonshot Project and secure further research.

Today during a debate on transport accessibility, I highlighted the difficulties faced by wheelchair users when trying to use the bus. From absent curb drops, a lack of space for more than one wheelchair user on board and poorly designed spaces, change is urgently needed.

Today during a debate on public transport accessibility, I raised Leuchars Railway Station and how the ramp does not comply with BSI standards. Using public transport shouldn't be a luxury - yet many are excluded due to the inaccessibility of the station.

Today I asked the Government why they refuse to consider an emergency VAT cut which would help hospitality businesses across the country. VAT was a key issue raised at the roundtable I recently hosted for hospitality businesses in North East Fife.

Following last week's announcements that The Home Office will cease issuing study visas to Afghan nationals to prevent them from claiming asylum, I raised the fact that gender apartheid is currently taking place in Afghanistan & asked what hope there is for other students to complete their studies.

Today I raised serious concerns about the closure of the Listed Places of Worship Scheme and what it means for historic churches in North East Fife. I was pleased to hear that a meeting with the DCMS Minister will be arranged for me to directly raise these concerns.
