Today I raised the need for closer UK‑EU ties & a customs union to start repairing the economic damage caused since Brexit. While others can’t seem to make up their minds, Liberal Democrats are clear: a customs union is the most practical first step & we’ll keep pushing for it every chance we get.

Today I asked the Government why they refuse to consider an emergency VAT cut which would help hospitality businesses across the country. VAT was a key issue raised at the roundtable I recently hosted for hospitality businesses in North East Fife.
Investment in deterrence is far better than fighting a war unprepared. In the increasingly unstable landscape of global politics, ensuring UK businesses can access the Security Action for Europe program is vital.
I challenged the Government on the continued chaos at Westminster. Despite promises of stability, we’re facing a Prime Minister who has lost authority and a policy agenda offering little real change.
Yesterday on BBC Newsnight, we discussed the ongoing war in Iran and when Trump might decide to end it. We also spoke about the UK's involvement and recent criticisms of Starmer.
Today I raised the importance of ensuring allied health professionals have the access they need to support patients in the right settings, including in care homes. This is essential to helping people move out of hospital when they are ready and ensuring they receive the most appropriate care.

After the murder of Sarah Everard, I had a conversation with my children that I will never forget. Education on respect and safety must be about the human beings we are raising - not just girls or boys.
Yesterday, I raised concerns about DVLA delays and the impact this has had on a local councillor in North East Fife. I asked whether the Government will provide an update on plans to move these systems online so that they are more efficient and easier to navigate.
I raised a constituent’s case in Parliament today after they told me they are still seeing rising energy bills, despite the £150 reduction the Chancellor has highlighted. I’m glad that she has agreed to look into the case directly - it’s vital that promised support is actually felt by households.
Today I raised the impact that the war is having on rural constituencies like North East Fife. Not only are heating oil costs increasing, but so is the cost of fertiliser and red diesel which our agricultural sector relies on.

This looks odd and a bit conspiratorial, but the metal detectors keep going off. So there appears to be something to it.
When Colin Allred decided to run for Senate, he kicked North Texans to the curb and started voting with Republicans, abandoning Democratic values. He voted to pass the Laken Riley Act and voted for a bill to make it harder for people to pay bail. We just can't trust Colin Allred. #TX33

Yes. Trains mostly reduce highway traffic. Most people live in cities. Local traffic is a bigger issue. Especially school commutes. This is a Texas school pickup line vs a bike bus on a protected cycling network.

Most industries are commoditized. Being “good” isn’t enough. The way out is a clear niche and a proprietary approach that only you offer. That’s what makes you stand out and win.

Can I ask something honestly? Do you feel BETTER now than you did 10 years ago? More energy?More confidence?Better sleep?Better digestion? Or less? I think a lot of women stay quiet about how they’re really feeling.
Coming from a long line of men who served in the military, I honor the courage and sacrifice of those who gave their lives for our country and the freedoms we enjoy every day. We don’t know them all, but we owe them all. Happy Memorial Day
