Today is #TimeToTalkDay! Many #UnpaidCarers play a vital role in their families, often without any support or recognition. That was true for Alagu. At 40, she cares for her father-in-law, who has lived with mental illness for 20 years, while also managing her household & her children’s education.

This year for our #FestiveAppeal we set our biggest target ever & thanks to the generosity of our supporters it’s also been the fastest we’ve ever reached our goal 💜🧡 We’re grateful to everyone who donated, shared & cheered us on. It makes a huge impact for #UnpaidCarers & the people they care for.

Amutharani has spent 22+ years caring for her mother living with mental illness while raising her two children alone, running a small shop to support her family After joining our #CarersGroup through our local partner, she received a small loan that helped her expand her shop & double her income 💜🧡

We are so proud to be supporting #UnpaidCarers in #Bangladesh again this #Ramadan 💜🧡 Yesterday, through our Ramadan project, 500 carers and those they care for gathered to receive their #Iftar food parcels and to pray together, before returning home to break their fast with their families.
