For months, I’ve been leading efforts to hold ICE accountable. This pattern of lawlessness is running rampant and represents a disgusting breakdown of the rule of law. No one is above it, and I won’t stop until we get real transparency and justice.

I’ve always supported law enforcement and strong public safety, but today I’m voting NO on H.Con.Res. 96 — a partisan GOP resolution that claims to support law enforcement while blaming Democrats and progressives for crime.

They claimed Alex Pretti was brandishing a deadly weapon because to them, a camera recording clear evidence of ICE crimes is just that. I’ll keep it simple. ICE agents do not enjoy “absolute immunity” and those who commit violent crimes will be prosecuted. We will enforce the rule of law.

Just voted no on H.R. 1329, which I actually cosponsored. Republicans turned a bipartisan bill to create a new women’s history museum into a partisan tribute to Trump. A museum dedicated to preserving and celebrating women’s history should never be turned into another Trump self-enrichment scheme.

House Republicans were offered a clean DHS funding package covering everything except ICE, and they still killed it. This is the least productive Congress ever. Mike Johnson and the House GOP have shown over and over they are incapable of governing. They only care about stroking Trump’s ego.
