One more week to add your name to our HCAO letter to the Universal Health Plan Governance Board. Last month we had 282 people sign on to our testimony regarding increasing opportunities for public engagement. This month's testimony is about the Funding Mechanisms.

It is hard to believe, but winter is over here in Oregon. It is also hard to believe that Oregon is likely going to be the first day to transition to a universal healthcare system. Our state has the chance to be Trailblazers in this moment, and we are not going to let this crisis go to waste.

What will be done to bring in more doctors and nurses to aid people? The Universal Health Plan Governance Board wants to prevent something we see in our current broken system, which is that people have coverage but no access. We need to improve access, and deal with our current provider shortage.
