Health Care for All Oregon is in the middle of our May Membership Drive. For less than the price of a cup of coffee a month, you can help Oregon become the first state to move to a universal health care system.

It is hard to believe, but winter is over here in Oregon. It is also hard to believe that Oregon is likely going to be the first day to transition to a universal healthcare system. Our state has the chance to be Trailblazers in this moment, and we are not going to let this crisis go to waste.

Can you share an instance of when you wanted to give a patient a certain level of care, but their insurance wouldn't support it? Some patients, if they have a high deductible, and a high copay, potentially will wait to get a CT which would tell them that they qualify for surgery.

These question was asked during the Virtual Town Hall, hosted by Health Care for All Oregon, featuring members of the Universal Health Plan Governance Board and their Executive Director, Dr. Mimi McDonnell. Unfortunately it is an "it depends" answer.

We advocate for universal healthcare, the most normal, mundane, simple policy, that is the standard of care across most of the developed world. Oregon has a chance to be the first state to transition to Universal Healthcare. Join us at a Town Hall in April to learn more.
