This month is Mental Health Awareness Month, which means we’re thinking about the mental wellbeing of everyone in our communities, regardless of your story. This year’s theme resonated with us since our core belief is that everyone deserves another day on Earth with their loved ones.🩶

We were exhibitors at two excellent events last month: the 2026 RICH Conference and NatCon 2026. Our goal is always to learn what we can, make meaningful connections, and be open to unexpected conversations and perspectives. We always leave with the knowledge that we’re stronger together. 🤝

People-first & people-focused is our approach for gathering data at HRT. As part of our 2025 Community Feedback Report, we asked folks with firsthand experience receiving and/or administering RiVive to tell us if it worked the way it’s intended. Read the full report on our website.

Fentanyl is more prevalent in our world than ever before, making awareness and understanding that much more important. As you choose which naloxone nasal spray to be ready with, think about RiVive. It’s capable of reversing a fentanyl overdose and reducing intense precipitated withdrawal symptoms.

No matter what, HRT will always be guided by one of the most foundational principles of harm reduction – that every single life is worth saving without judgment. Every person who experiences an overdose deserves to experience more compassion and less suffering.

Compassion in action – that’s a phrase we live by here at HRT. Doing the compassionate thing matters, whether it’s how you respond to an overdose situation or how you interact with the people in your community on a daily basis.🫂

Modern-day harm reduction has been shaped by Black women throughout history who improve the lives & safety of Black communities and people who use drugs (PWUD). The world of harm reduction wouldn’t be the same without the leadership, commitment & compassion of these incredible harm reductionists.

When we say Harm Reduction Therapeutics is the only non-profit pharma company focused on compassionate overdose response, what exactly does that mean? We’re breaking it down – watch to learn more and share with a community member!

Black History Month and the history of harm reduction are inseparable in our minds. Without perseverance and pioneering from Black activist groups & communities, we simply would not have the harm reduction principles that we have today. (cont. in comments)

The Hippocratic Oath and Compassionate Overdose Response™️ are deeply intertwined - both are guided by care and respect for the patient above all. RiVive’s 3 mg naloxone nasal spray is an effective way to reverse opioid overdose while minimizing harm.🤝⚕️

Originally coined by scholar & civil rights advocate Kimberlé Crenshaw, the term “intersectionality” carries even more weight when paired with the experiences of people who use drugs (cont).

Better education = more lives saved. When more people, no matter what their relationship to opioids is, understand the risks, the risk of overdose decreases. Let’s continue to have conversations about opioid use in the communities we’re a part of.💬

The misconception that high doses of naloxone are necessary to reverse a fentanyl overdose can lead to unnecessarily painful precipitated withdrawal symptoms and long-term naloxone avoidance for people who have experienced an overdose (cont in comments).

1 0

One of HRT’s goals is to reduce the avoidance of naloxone. We believe that by making a compassionate dose that reduces the risk & intensity of precipitated withdrawal, people will be less likely to avoid naloxone or to use drugs alone. (cont. in comments)

When naloxone blocks the opioid from reaching the receptors in the brain, breathing is restored, the overdose is reversed, and a life is saved. But this is often a really difficult experience for the person who overdosed, especially when too high a dose of naloxone is used. (cont. in comments)

The most compassionate choice you can make is a low dose option like RiVive 3 mg naloxone nasal spray or a 0.4 mg/1ml intramuscular naloxone syringe to reverse an overdose. Let’s not make their experience more distressing by using too much naloxone.🤝

Words can hurt, but they can also heal.❤️‍🩹 In harm reduction, the language that reduces stigma matters. Compassionate dosing and compassionate communication go hand in hand.

We see caregivers through the eyes of RiVive.🩶 Using a 3 mg naloxone nasal spray has a ripple effect that impacts those who administer it and are responsible for the wellbeing of the person who overdosed. That’s why compassionate dosing matters to the person who’s overdosed and their caregivers.

Today we recognize #IOAD by remembering those we have lost, those who remember them, those who have come back, and those who dedicate their lives to ending overdose. No matter where you fall, we send you love. We are proud to stand alongside this community in the fight to save lives compassionately.

Waiting for someone to regain consciousness during an overdose can be frightening. We see you and the anxiety of that moment. Waiting the correct amount of time between administering each dose of naloxone is crucial...(cont. in threads)

Reducing symptoms of precipitated withdrawal for the person undergoing them has a positive ripple effect on loved ones, witnesses, and the first responders who are trying to lessen the discomfort of an overdose. With RiVive 3 mg naloxone, we extend compassion to all affected by opioid overdose.

On National Naloxone Awareness Day, we want to reflect on how far naloxone development has come and look forward to how we can increase accessibility to the medication in its most compassionate form: RiVive 3 mg.

We’re so glad carrying naloxone is becoming more normalized, BUT we want to emphasize the importance of rescue breathing during an overdose too. After you administer that first dose of RiVive 3 mg, rescue breathing is important to supply oxygen to the brain of the person you are reviving.

Here’s what you can expect when you open a twin pack of RiVive 3 mg naloxone nasal spray. You’ll notice it’s very similar to other naloxone nasal sprays, making it easy and familiar to use in an emergency overdose situation. Share this with someone who hasn’t heard of RiVive yet!🙌

Harm reductionist and friend of HRT Van Asher took a moment to talk about how he sees HRT.🤍 We aim to be a people-over-profit organization every single day. After all, people need to be saved, not profits. Thanks for your words, Van. 💪
