Compassion in action – that’s a phrase we live by here at HRT. Doing the compassionate thing matters, whether it’s how you respond to an overdose situation or how you interact with the people in your community on a daily basis.🫂

Today we recognize #IOAD by remembering those we have lost, those who remember them, those who have come back, and those who dedicate their lives to ending overdose. No matter where you fall, we send you love. We are proud to stand alongside this community in the fight to save lives compassionately.

We see caregivers through the eyes of RiVive.🩶 Using a 3 mg naloxone nasal spray has a ripple effect that impacts those who administer it and are responsible for the wellbeing of the person who overdosed. That’s why compassionate dosing matters to the person who’s overdosed and their caregivers.

No matter what, HRT will always be guided by one of the most foundational principles of harm reduction – that every single life is worth saving without judgment. Every person who experiences an overdose deserves to experience more compassion and less suffering.

This month is Mental Health Awareness Month, which means we’re thinking about the mental wellbeing of everyone in our communities, regardless of your story. This year’s theme resonated with us since our core belief is that everyone deserves another day on Earth with their loved ones.🩶

Harm reductionist and friend of HRT Van Asher took a moment to talk about how he sees HRT.🤍 We aim to be a people-over-profit organization every single day. After all, people need to be saved, not profits. Thanks for your words, Van. 💪

We’re so glad carrying naloxone is becoming more normalized, BUT we want to emphasize the importance of rescue breathing during an overdose too. After you administer that first dose of RiVive 3 mg, rescue breathing is important to supply oxygen to the brain of the person you are reviving.

Black History Month and the history of harm reduction are inseparable in our minds. Without perseverance and pioneering from Black activist groups & communities, we simply would not have the harm reduction principles that we have today. (cont. in comments)

Reducing symptoms of precipitated withdrawal for the person undergoing them has a positive ripple effect on loved ones, witnesses, and the first responders who are trying to lessen the discomfort of an overdose. With RiVive 3 mg naloxone, we extend compassion to all affected by opioid overdose.
