I’m fascinated by the origins of the hanger gag in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK & why it didn’t work in its original placement within Spielberg’s 1941, which speaks to the importance of context & execution in comedy. Here’s a little video about it…

And much like those classic Warner cartoons, TINY TOON ADVENTURES had a creative team able to use the limited animation to its absolute fullest to sell a gag (and another great @tmbg.bsky.social tune)...

How everything feels right now...

If I learned anything as a kid, it was that candy bars were not just a reward for doing anything and everything, they were also absolutely essential (Two kinds of sugars!) for giving you the energy you needed to just get by in sports or at your job...

I remember a lot of a capella suddenly popping up in the zeitgeist in the mid-to-late-80s, and I'm not entirely sure why it happened, but it did...

It's a shame these Hardee's placemats from 1978 feature my least-favorite era of Disney's character designs...
