I'm forced to think about this far too often...

This is the kind of effort that companies used to put into their ads. A vaguely Top 40 jingle. An unnecessary narrative. Exaggerated characters. A stop-motion dough homunculus. REAL EFFORT.

This was an ad for... chewing gum. And as the attached post supports, chewing gum ads of this era were focused on either sex, bad breath, or cowboys dueling over Hubba Bubba.

While late-80s/early-90s Disney TV animation was quite nice looking & fun, TINY TOON ADVENTURES - much like what the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies were to the Disney theatrical shorts - was consistently funny & playful in a way Disney wasn't (& their musical eps introduced me to @tmbg.bsky.social)...
