With a single stroke of a pen, Donald Trump pardoned roughly 1,500 people who violently stormed the United States Capitol on the first day of his second term in office. He pardoned without exception, without condition, and without any regard for what they had done or who they had hurt.

Good to know. So, the fraudsters and cheats who donated millions to Trump and then got a pardon from him — they’re on notice too, right? You can’t declare war on fraud with one hand and hand out pardons to convicted fraudsters with the other.

Trump’s “war on fraud” has a loophole: help Trump, and the fraud you commit doesn’t count.

You don’t preemptively promise pardons to your entire staff unless you’re asking them to do things that are wrong or illegal. According to the Wall Street Journal, that is exactly what Donald Trump is doing.

The Trump Administration says offshore wind is a national security threat. But when you ask them to explain what that threat actually is, in a classified briefing or in public, they can’t give you a straight answer. Because there isn’t one. It’s made up.
