Multiple people were detained by ICE today at 26 Federal Plaza during routine check-ins and hearings. Some cases were delayed for lack of a translator, but ICE made arrests anyway. Court observers, council members, and a state senator helped a few safely exit.

After the main protest dispersed a group of about one hundred marched through Central Park.

While elected officials demanded access to the 10th floor to observe conditions where migrants are held, an ICE agent struck a photographer’s camera (Michael Nigro) and then falsely claimed the photographer hit him: “You hit me in the face with it.”
