The Speaker of the House just defended members of Congress trading individual stocks. Wrong answer. Members of Congress should not be trading shares in the companies they regulate and fund. Most Americans figured that out a long time ago.

A federal court already ruled, twice, that members of Congress have the right to inspect ICE detention facilities without advance notice. Last week, we went to the Otay Mesa Detention Center to do exactly that. ICE handed us a memo, signed the same day, telling us we now need two days notice,

I woke up very early this morning to news of “major combat operations” in Iran. My prayers are with our service members and their families. The President didn’t make the case or come to Congress. We took an oath to defend the Constitution. It’s time for a War Powers vote.

Winning is NOT masked agents grabbing people off the street. It is NOT families one emergency away from bankruptcy because the cost of living is too high to save anything.

I introduced the DEATH BETS Act along with Senator Schiff to ban such contracts permanently.

Trump sued his own government for $10 billion. Today he settled with the DOJ he runs and cut the judge out of the process. The deal: a $1.8 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund his Attorney General controls, with no court oversight and no transparency. It’s the most corrupt scheme of his presidency.

Kristi Noem must step aside or be removed. And if she is not, Congress has a responsibility to act via impeachment. This is not about left versus right. This is about right versus wrong. It is about whether federal power is exercised responsibly.

American families are already stretched thin at the pump. Now Trump says doubling gas prices would be worth it for his unauthorized war in Iran. He is not the one paying that price. You are. And he does not seem to care how high it goes.

America is a nation of laws. And a nation of immigrants. We don’t need chaos. We need competence. Stop giving ICE a blank check. Demand accountability.
