My Appropriations amendment was simple. Bar the President, the Vice President, and members of Congress from cashing in on Trump’s $1.8 billion January 6th slush fund, unless a court actually awarded them the money. Every Republican on the committee who was present voted no.

Republicans’ One Big Ugly Bill gutted $600 billion from Medicaid. Millions of Americans who had no other way to get care lost their coverage. Democrats warned this would happen. Now it is: hospitals are closing, premiums are spiking, and the system is buckling under the strain.

To expose the utter hypocrisy of my Republican colleagues giving Donald Trump a free pass on everything he does, I’m starting a new series called “Can You Imagine if Obama Had Done This?” Starting with this:

Corey Lewandowski allegedly demanded kickbacks from federal contractors at DHS. The FBI and DOJ must investigate. This is textbook corruption.

I introduced the DEATH BETS Act along with Senator Schiff to ban such contracts permanently.

Donald Trump is the most corrupt president in American history. It’s not close. No other president has used the office to enrich himself, his family, and his allies on this scale.

TSA officers are not getting paid right now because Republicans are protecting ICE from basic accountability. The same standards every other law enforcement agency follows. Republicans won’t demand that from ICE, and we are all paying the price.

A documentary about the First Lady that costs Amazon $75,000,000 and barely makes a dent at the box office is not a smart investment on its own. But what if that same company secures a $580,000,000 Pentagon contract around the same time? Suddenly, the math starts to look different.

Trump is reportedly holding billions in infrastructure funding hostage unless Dulles Airport and Penn Station are renamed after himself. Can you imagine if Obama had done this?

The Senate passed a bill to fund all of DHS except ICE and Border Patrol. And we did it with the unanimous consent of ALL 100 SENATORS. Speaker Johnson refused to vote on this bill and chose to continue holding TSA hostage and to continue Trump's chaos.

This is why they're mad.
