If you spend time online, it may seem as though another icon has died every week or so. Here are 5️⃣ WAYS to grieve someone you didn’t personally know, based on advice from Marguerite Metzendorf, our director of integrative medicine and bereavement services at MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care.

There’s no single way to achieve success. That’s what makes every journey unique. Today we celebrate Dr. Obiora, a hospice and palliative care colleague who recently earned her doctorate. Her journey wasn’t linear and that’s what makes it so inspiring.

Year-round, staff and visitors marvel at the beautiful, original handmade works of art created by our residents and patients.

It was meaningful to host our annual informal Seder dinner at the Center, where we brought together patients, residents and their families to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover!

When hospice care ends, our support doesn’t. About 4–6 weeks after a loved one passes, a MJHS bereavement counselor reaches out to the primary caregiver just to check in.

Spring is here, but don’t rush through it! 🌸 Slow down, stay safe and smell the flowers.
