I was told by a MAGA pundit that Trump’s budget cuts to fund his war of choice is okay because these programs only help trans people. I had to point out that cutting workplace safety funding which means more people might die on the job isn’t a trans issue, lord.

We cannot afford Trump’s Iran war of choice. GDP was a paltry 1.4% in the fourth quarter, job growth last year was nonexistent and we just learned we lost jobs this last month, Trump’s tariffs cost Americans $1,700 a year, and his overall inflation cost Americans $2,200.

Afghan refugees shouldn’t be punished for the violent actions of one man. If we send Afghans who worked with us back to Afghanistan they will be killed by the Taliban. We should not pursue a policy of collective punishment. We are a better country than that.

At the start of this week, I was asked about Trump potentially striking Iran. My answer was pretty straight forward, Trump has not articulated a clear reason why we are taking military action and what the goal is.

President Trump, by threatening news networks and trying to restrict what Pentagon journalists can report, is attacking freedom of speech and freedom of the press. We need a country where citizens can freely criticize the Administration and a press that isn’t restricted in what it can report.
