It's erosion of renters' rights. With 4 Airbnbs available for every 1 long term rental across the country, this government wants to push people into these 'shed-sits', where they've no access to the RTB, can be evicted without notice, and where they are not entitled to privacy from their landlord.

Why does the government keep billions in surplus if not to protect people? Why do data centres get to pay half the price that ordinary people pay for electricity? We need an emergency energy credit, and then we need price caps on energy to stop any profiteering in this cost of living crisis.

The lessons are clear. People are looking to get rid of FF-FG, and the left needs to give them a clear alternative. We need commitments NOT to go into government with FF-FG, combined with clear left principles on housing, cost of living, climate, etc. to offer a clear choice at the next election.

We are all paying the price for Trump's warmongering. Homes, not bombs! Welfare, not warfare! We have to learn the lessons of the fuel protests. We need to demand the #USMilitaryOutOfShannon. We need to fight to defend Irish neutrality.
