Some good news - After nearly 12 years vacant, 61 Swiftbrook Drive is finally back on the market. It's up for auction, so we hope this will become a much-needed home for a family. We've been campaigning for a number of years on this property, and last year we brought a motion to SDCC.

Our lakes are dying. Lough Neagh was just the tip of the iceberg. It's ecocide of our lakes en-masse, and the Irish government is doing less than nothing. It's mainly as result of agricultural pollution, and yet will continue to get worse and worse due to government inaction.

Government measures could be wiped out by next week... We need to take real action to combat the cost of living crisis. We need to open the books of these energy companies, and price controls to prevent profiteering, as well as ultimately renationalising our energy back into public control.

We need price caps. Nothing less stop the profiteering / increases. Then we need to re-nationalise our energy. This right wing government that is subservient to Trump will never do this. We have to break away from this subservience to Donald Trump, US Imperialism, and fossil fuel capitalism!

The Irish government is complicit. In the middle of the genocide, they sanctioned huge amounts of so-called 'dual-use' goods going to the IDF. We need full BDS. We should pass our Sanctions on Israel bill next Wednesday, but this cowardly government plans to oppose it.

We have to end the 100 year reign of FF-FG. We have to fight for a left government that will actually take on the big business interests that profit off people's misery - through the housing crisis, cost of living crisis, or dragging up closer to warmongers. #SpéirGhorm

This is blatant victimisation for union activity. Sonya should be reinstated, this should be condemned by government, and government should meet with the workers and instruct the HSE to treat them properly. The workers at Northside Home Care will continue to fight with their union the IWU.

FF-FG are deeply unpopular. People are looking to get rid of FF-FG, the left must give them a clear alternative. We need commitments NOT to go into government with FF-FG, combined with clear left principles on housing, cost of living, climate, to offer people a clear choice at the next election.
