My constituents, like so many other Americans, are struggling with high costs and the Republican policies adding to their pain. From tariffs to the reckless Iran war, Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress are driving up the cost of living for Americans.

No money for daycare. No money for Medicaid. But there’s a 40% increase in the Pentagon budget. The administration wants the Iran War to be paid for on the backs of everyday Americans.

Trump’s policies are driving up the cost of living, but Secretary Scott Bessent wants us to take solace that inflation is a “blip” and we all just need to take it on the chin until we “get to the other side of this.” I would love to see a timeline on that.

The rhetoric and completely disjointed statements coming out of the GOP tells me everything I need to know about Trump’s reckless war in Iran. Lindsay Graham: “Not POTUS’s job to have a plan” Ted Cruz: “No indication Iran was close to having nuclear weapons”

Donald Trump is threatening to not sign any legislation unless Congress passes Jim Crow 2.0, or as Republicans are calling it, the “SAVE Act.” Let me be clear: this is so he can disenfranchise millions of voters and steal the midterm elections.

It is now the official position of the Republican Party that yes the war makes life more expensive for everyday Americans, but we don’t care and we aren’t going to do anything about it.

Bad policy costs everyone: your time, counties’ resources, and taxpayer dollars. Our elections are already secure, accessible, and safe. So let’s invest in voters, counties, and a system that works—not tear it down to satisfy a few sore losers.
