The good news is that I got the IEP signed, and I made a friend. The parent said that she went home and cried after the IEP, and told a family friend who is a school psych, "We have someone amazing!" 🥲❤️🫶

I also only have 50% in my left ear. It's hard to hear speech within noise (like with wind blowing), determine sound direction (if I hear a clang or splash). My partner's voice is at the low frequency which the audiological exam showed I can't hear 😬 I stayed next to him while recording video.
