Increased Waco’s severe weather risk for tonight, high winds and heavy rain looking likely around 11pm.

Central Texas to get Tuesday afternoon thunderstorms… part of the same system that’s forming tornadoes in the central plains today.

Heavy rain for Central Texas could lead to flooding on Friday. Up to 3” of rain in a single day.

Nice thunderstorm at the 25 News studios in Waco, even caught a flash of lightning on video!

Severe thunderstorms but light winds miles above the ground means these storms have a lower tornado risk. This is because supercell thunderstorms could tear themselves apart by their own rainfall due to light upper-air winds and little wind shear.

Nice shower that just passed by Waco. No thunder but lots of petrichor smell!

Plenty of energy, but still a marginal or conditional risk for severe weather Friday for Central Texas.
