I offered my bill, the Tariff Free Farming Act to eliminate tariffs on agricultural supplies, as an amendment in the Farm Bill. In 2025, Trump's tariffs costs farmers more than $8 billion. That's an $8 billion tax on on the people who grow the food, fuel, and fiber this country runs on.

On my 3rd visit to the Federal Detention Center in Honolulu, I spoke with correctional staff and personnel before spending several hours with nearly two dozen detainees to hear directly about their experiences and needs, including access to attorneys and interpreters or simply having someone listen.
