On the inaugural day of Eid al-Adha in the occupied West Bank, Israeli settlers assaulted a Palestinian mother and her child amidst a series of incursions into Palestinian villages and residences.

Seven Palestinians, among them two children, lost their lives, while over twenty others sustained injuries due to an Israeli airstrike that struck a residence in the heart of Gaza City.

Senate Republicans blocked a procedural vote on the PACT Act, a bill meant to expand health care and benefits for veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances. Many of those veterans were dealing with cancers, lung disease, and other long-term illnesses.

In the initial moments following the occupation, aircraft targeted a residential structure in the Al-Rmal district, located to the west of Gaza City.
