While people absolutely have a right to appeal, it is disappointing to see so many large-scale residential developments (LRDs) delayed at a time when we are in the middle of a housing crisis. We need to keep housing delivery moving while ensuring proper planning processes are respected.

I raised concerns today about delays with CPOs and vesting orders which are slowing down efforts to tackle dereliction and vacancy. Councils like Clare County Council are stepping up on housing delivery and need these applications prioritised by Tailte Éireann.
