Taylor Rehmet won a huge Texas State Senate race last night, the first time Democrats took this seat in decades. Here’s the kicker: Trump won this district by 17 points in 2024. When I say we have wind at our back, Democrats, I mean it.

This is what the first partisan voter registration program in DNC history looks like! When We Count is registering thousands of voters in key states ahead of the midterms—and organizers like Miranda will be leading the charge.

Democrats have the momentum heading into November’s midterms. But as I told the National Federation of Democratic Women, momentum doesn’t knock on doors. It doesn’t register voters. It doesn’t get out the vote. We must put in the work to ensure a blue wave this fall.
