Trump is acting as the world's bully and there comes a point where you have to do something. Sucking up doesn't work. We have to put threats on the table. Trump adores the Royal Family and the royal visit to America is leverage that no one else has. We should use it.

The Mandelson Files released today are damning. The fact that Starmer appointed Peter Mandelson knowing that he had continued a relationship with Jeffery Epstein after his conviction in 2008 shows serious lack of judgement. This release is only the beginning of this scandal for the Government.

The news that the NHS may now have to pay up to £3 billion more for drugs from the US is concerning. There needs to be clarity from the Government about who exactly will pay for this. The Government shouldn't prioritise economic growth over the health of the NHS.

The problems in palliative care are long standing and inadequate. The postcode lottery of care is not acceptable and we are pleased that the Government wants to give this issue attention.

Earlier this year I saw for myself the incredible work which the Hospital at Home team from the John Radcliffe Hospital do. I was shocked to hear that their funding is now being cut and asked the Government how this was compatible with their transition to community care.

The Liberal Democrats believe that jury trials are the cornerstone of our justice system. Scrapping them will have little effect on the courts backlog, whilst curtailing a fundamental right. We have a plan to tackle the issues in our court system and still protect the right to trial by jury.

The changes to leaseholds announced today are welcome, but the Government must go further to tackle rip off service charges. Social housing tenants are often the ones left most affected by these rip off charges. I am pleased that the Minister has agreed to meet to discuss this issue further.
