Under our Constitution, many war powers belong to Congress. This matters because there are no decisions more consequential than decisions about war and peace.   I’m leading legislation to stop any President from unilaterally dragging the United States into an unauthorized war with Venezuela.

I believe deep in my bones that no one is above the law — no corporation, no President. I won’t quit fighting to defend that. What we are seeing from President Trump’s DOJ is further evidence of how far it has fallen from its sacred obligation to uphold the rule of law.
