Today is Workers’ Memorial Day. We recognize the thousands of Americans who lose their lives on the job every year. From OSHA to Workers’ Compensation, the labor movement has led many great victories. But we still have more to do. No one should EVER lose their life simply trying to earn a living.

A year ago today, Trump illegally declared across-the-board tariffs on nearly every nation on earth. When I asked Treasury Secretary Bessent who paid the tariffs, he was unable (or more likely unwilling) to answer. Spoiler alert: it’s American consumers.

We can't trust that Trump won't try to bring back his $1.776 billion "Anti-Weaponization" slush fund, so we need to pass my Tax the Grift Act. It will tax all payouts from Trump's slush fund at 100% so that all taxpayer funding goes back to the Treasury rather than into the hands of Trump allies.

While more than half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, Trump is trying to increase the war budget by a mind-boggling 42% to $1.5 TRILLION. This is an insult to the American people.

Studies show that Trump's dismantling of USAID may have already caused upwards of 1 million preventable deaths worldwide, and could cause up to 14 million more by 2030.

Good news is rare in Washington these days, so watching countless beagles being rescued from Ridglan Farms was a welcome change. I’ll continue working to ensure that what happened at Ridglan never happens again.

Project 2025 lead author and Trump’s current budget head, Russ Vought, is STEALING Congressionally-approved funds. Today, I offered an amendment to withhold funds from his office until he testifies before @democrats-appropriations.house.gov and answers our questions.
