Trump is scrambling to shut down the Kennedy Center after discovering that American artists and performers won't put up with his partisan takeover and unlawful renaming. And let’s be clear: a remodeling job won't restore the Kennedy Center to what it was. A return to artistic independence will.

Today, in Financial Services Committee, I made it clear: our job in Congress is to fight for job creation, affordability, and housing for all Americans. We have a responsibility to our constituents - and I'm holding my Republican colleagues accountable.

My bill, the Free Credit Scores for Consumers Act, ensures access to free credit scores and credit reports and disclosure of how scores are calculated. A more accessible and transparent credit reporting system is essential to put Americans on the path to financial success.

The Trump Administration is holding up critical funds that the American people need for affordable housing. When pressed, Secretary Bessent couldn't give me a clear answer as to when critical CDFI funds will be disbursed to communities in need.

Let’s get one thing straight: artists, donors, and others left the Kennedy Center because of the Trump takeover. Now, it’s time to return it to the American people and Congress so it can flourish once again.

American families are losing their hard-earned savings to fraud and scams. Today, in the Financial Services Committee, we talked about the importance of our anti-money laundering framework to crack down on financial crime and protect consumers.

Americans should not be forced to pay for Trump’s reckless war.
