Wisconsin has finally extended MA Postpartum Care to a year. We'll improve the health of moms and babies and reduce the unacceptable rates of maternal mortality among Black women. My Democratic colleagues and I fought hard on this issue. Gratified to see the bill signed into law.

My heart breaks for Alex Pretti’s family. We need a real and full investigation and accountability. My statement:

A big win for women’s health in Wisconsin! Gail’s Law is now on the books. It will give more women access to lifesaving breast cancer screenings. My legislative colleagues and I have fought alongside Gail’s remarkable family to get this law passed. Gail has left an incredible legacy.

Finally, help is on the way for communities across Wisconsin that have been affected by PFAS contamination. Gratified that Democrats were part of the bi-partisan solution to get millions of dollars in necessary funding released.

It is past time to legalize recreational cannabis in Wisconsin. My Democratic colleagues and I have introduced a bill that would establish a regulated market that prioritizes public safety, realize the economic benefits of legalization, and reduce harm to communities.
