When I arrived at the shelter today, I saw Petra lying in the middle of the enclosure, looking so sad and unhappy... Then I noticed blood at the entrance of her house. With great effort, we managed to take her and rushed to the hospital, only to be shocked by what we discovered.

The least I can do is feed them, give them water, and try to keep them healthy in this harsh world. Soon, they must be dewormed and vaccinated, and I have to buy vaccines and dewormer for all of them, including the shelter babies and six more who are in temporary accommodation.

Tomorrow is my birthday, and I believe the best way to celebrate is by going through the city to feed every stray dog I encounter. There are thousands of them on our streets, and it breaks my heart each time I face this harsh reality.

Little Mauri had a tough childhood: first, he was abandoned in a bare field, almost taken by a hungry eagle, then he got sick with a dangerous virus. But he survived, grew up in our shelter, and now he's finally going to his forever home!

Sometimes, medicine isn't enough. Even after little Duke recovered physically, he was still terrified, fearing everyone would hurt him: just like the cruel people in his past… But true love is the real cure. Now, this little one is happy, learning to trust, and enjoying every moment of his life.

For my whole life, I couldn't stay in one place. I needed to see new places, explore new horizons, meet new people, and always be on the move. Staying in one spot drove me crazy. But everything changed when I joined the shelter team and found true joy in helping dogs in Moldova.

But when I asked why they wouldn’t take any of the dozen of puppies already struggling there, their answer was simple: "They might grow too big and eat too much…" Meanwhile, they wanted this dog’s puppies specifically because they always stay small and require little food.

The #Canes have had to manufacture their own intensity this week, but they’ve done a good job of doing so. From small ice games to upping the competitiveness in drills, they’ve continued to look like a well-oiled machine.
