Some days you just need a visit from a couple of bears.

Sometimes I talk to the crows and sometimes they talk back to me. This fellow definitely has something on his mind and is grumbling about it to my trail cam. In times like these, it is very difficult to assure him that things will be okay.

The bears in the woods are waking up--finally something good to see amidst all the insanity of these days. This a 2 week period called "walking hibernation" where they wander lazily near their dens and eat very little. It takes a while to return to full energy. This big male nibbling blossoms.

My respite in the woods, there are still places one can catch a break from this madness. And it's mating season. Messages are being sent and received...
