Pressure is intensifying across Europe for concrete action against Israel’s Itamar Ben-Gvir, over a recent video showing the violence used on Sumud Flotilla activists. Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Poland are some of the EU states calling for sanctions on Ben-Gvir.

The flotilla incident exposed something deeper in Israeli public discourse: the fear of international isolation is growing, while the boundaries of what is publicly acceptable during the war continue to shift:
