The world around us was sleeping soundly and peacefully-right up until the moment reality knocked on the door. Ukraine, quite unwillingly, became a mirror. In it, world leaders and ordinary people saw everything: their own vulnerabilities and just how fragile a thing our "global security" truly is.

“There were a great many russian drones there," say the Ukrainian police officers involved in the evacuation. Continuous evacuations are underway from Druzhkivka, Donetsk region. The "White Angels" evacuated a family, a young girl along with her mother, grandmother, and grandfather.

...What the hell is going on here? you might think. Evacuations take place every day across various Ukrainian cities. In some areas, the sheer number of russian drones makes it impossible to enter by car to rescue civilians.

They say the road to heaven is paved with hell, while the road to hell looks like paradise. For a long time now, the hearts of Ukrainians have been living in the future, because reality has completely lost its mind-at least here in Ukraine.

For someone far away from Ukraine, luck means winning a lottery ticket, but on our Ukrainian land, luck means winning a ticket to a second breath and seeing the sunrise. One earth, one planet, but such damn different desires.

Elderly women… are forced to simply hide under the table in their own homes after yet another heavy russian shelling. Yes… this is a simple village with private houses, and each of you can see the standard of living of these people for yourself.

Right now, I don’t have the words to describe what I’m seeing... it happens far too often and is far too inhumane toward Ukrainians. These residents of Odesa pose no threat to anyone in this world, but the russians see the world very differently than we do.
