Donald Trump’s reckless escalation with Iran is putting American lives and our national security at risk. The only way to end this war and protect Americans is through diplomacy and coordination with our allies—not more chaos and reckless rhetoric from this White House.

President Trump sued his own Administration for taxpayer money and now a slush fund financed by a $1.8 billion settlement could reward his political allies — including people convicted of January 6 crimes. Congress should not allow taxpayer dollars to be used as political payback.

There are reportedly $1.5 billion in suspicious wire transactions tied to Epstein’s network that Treasury still hasn’t turned over. The American people deserve to know where that money went, who was involved, and what these records could reveal about the full scope of Epstein’s trafficking network.

Tomorrow, I will vote to release the Epstein files. Survivors deserve justice, and the public deserves the truth. These records—potentially including financial documents revealing Epstein’s associates—are key to getting to the bottom of what happened and preventing future abuse.

For decades, presidents of both parties have followed a clear rule: the U.S. does not consult Beijing on arms sales to Taiwan. President Trump appears ready to break with that approach. Weakening deterrence invites aggression — and risks war.
