President Trump ran for president opposing wars like this. Now, he’s pursuing regime change in Iran with no clear strategy and no intention of making the case to the American people.

Trump has said twice today that his $1.8 billion slush fund to pay off cop-beaters, campaign donors, and insurrectionists is still on the table, and I believe him. That’s why I’m introducing an amendment to the Republican spending bill to permanently ban it.

Last night, as Republicans started the partisan process to force through funding for unaccountable immigration enforcement agencies, @warren.senate.gov and I tried to push through a measure to create an independent watchdog to rein in ICE’s violence.

If Republicans think they can sneak through a bill when nobody is looking to give even MORE money to ICE without meaningful reforms, I’ll rush back from Delaware to object as many times as it takes.

As I told Treasury Secretary Wright yesterday, Trump’s war with Iran has already driven up costs for Americans. It’s hitting oil and gas, fertilizer, helium, farming, manufacturing, and food prices. We need to wrap this war up, but you’ll still be paying for it for a long time to come.

After President Trump’s SOTU, I stood with @mcbride.house.gov and DE AG Kathy Jennings and said what many Delawareans are already feeling: Health care premiums are rising. And tens of thousands here at home are bracing for the fallout of the largest health care cuts in American history.

Good riddance to these two. Members who violated their oaths and mistreated staff have no business serving in Congress.

My State of the Union guest, Dr. Neil Hockstein, works to protect Delawareans from losing access to health care because of Medicaid and Affordable Care Act cuts. We’re hoping for real solutions about how to lower health care costs for Americans, but we’re not counting on it.
