Location: Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh Date: May 23 Vishwa Hindu Parishad members raided Sukoon Hotel, accused two interfaith couples of “love jihad,” harassed them, and handed them over to police, after which the couples were detained.

Location: Lakri Nabiganj, Siwan, Bihar Date: May 12 Cow vigilantes affiliated with the Gau Raksha Dal brutally assaulted three individuals over allegations of carrying beef, and handed them over to the police.
