There is no one who has undermined Colorado's elections more than Tina Peters. It would be a disastrous decision to let her walk free — and a horrible message to election officials who deliver world-class elections to Coloradans.

The Constitution is clear: states run elections, not Donald Trump. He does not have the authority to change how we vote.

Our democracy starts at the local level with caucus. In March 2026, Democrats across the state will gather to choose delegates and decide who earns a place on the ballot. It’s not just a meeting on the calendar – it is a powerful way for neighbors to shape the future of our state.

I just led a letter, with 8 other Secretaries of State joining me, in demanding the new Nominee for Department of Homeland Security Secretary confirm in writing that there will not be an ICE presence near voting locations during the 2026 elections.
