Americans do not want and cannot afford another forever war. For 25 years, U.S. servicemembers have sacrificed so much because of regime change wars in the Middle East. Trump is now asking yet another generation to do the same. How is this America first? I am voting against Trump's war with Iran.

From New Jersey to Texas, ICE is brutalizing innocent people who have committed no crime. These facilities—prisons—have become black boxes where people are denied basic necessities like adequate food, water, and healthcare.

Secretary Rubio's remarks indicate that Israel put U.S. forces in harm's way by insisting on attacking Iran. And the administration was complicit—joining their war instead of talking them down. This is unacceptable of the President, and unacceptable of a country that calls itself our ally.

Last night, the President tried to convince the American people of a war they do not want and cannot afford. Instead of dragging the U.S. into another forever war, the Trump Admin should focus on lowering the cost of things like rent, childcare, and healthcare.

Trump ripped up the Iran Nuclear Deal in his first term. Then he used the threat of Iran gaining nuclear capabilities as a justification for war. We need to get back to the negotiating table, block Trump’s war that taxpayers do not want, and protect American troops.

Trump’s war in Iran is causing energy prices to soar. In San Antonio, gas is up 40%. Texans and Americans do not want and cannot afford this war.

Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, confirmed that Israel has different objectives in the war in Iran than the U.S. This is a serious admission. Entering a war alongside an ally with different goals threatens our ability to achieve peace.

Secretary Noem needs to be impeached and she must be held accountable for the viciousness she has unleashed on our communities.
