The Liberal Democrats believe that jury trials are the cornerstone of our justice system. Scrapping them will have little effect on the courts backlog, whilst curtailing a fundamental right. We have a plan to tackle the issues in our court system and still protect the right to trial by jury.

I know that flooding is something which my constituents are worried about. The rainfall over the weekend raised concerns, particularly in South Abingdon, which has been badly hit recently. The EA have flood barriers ready to go in the event of future flood threats in the area.
