Ouders werden recent opgeschrikt door het bericht dat zorglocaties voor hun kinderen met een meervoudige beperking gaan sluiten. Zowel zorgpartijen als de minister lijken niet in te grijpen. Het is bizar, dat niemand verantwoordelijkheid neemt voor zorg aan de meest kwetsbare kinderen.

Een schoolklas per maand. Zoveel jongeren verliezen we aan suïcide. Helaas is er al jaren te weinig politieke prioriteit. Samen met de ChristenUnie schreven we een initiatiefwet. En we blijven alarm slaan over de wachtlijsten in jeugdzorg en GGZ. Want mentale gezondheid doet ertoe! ❤️‍🩹

170.000(!) per jaar, 465 per dag. Zoveel meldingen krijgt de politie over mensen met onbegrepen gedrag. Iedereen ziet dit probleem. Maar intussen wordt fors bezuinigd op GGZ en sociale zekerheid, en stijgt dakloosheid. Nu wachten op de volgende keer dat het misgaat, en we weer massaal boos zijn. 🤷‍♀️

Je 18e verjaardag hoort een feestje te zijn, maar voor veel jongeren in de jeugdzorg is het dat niet. Je verliest je vertrouwde hulpverleners, komt op de wachtlijst voor de GGZ, of belandt zelfs op straat. Bizar dat hier nog steeds geen oplossing voor is. Radar: radar.avrotros.nl/artikel/frag...

Dit mag NOOIT meer gebeuren. Dat zeggen veel politici als de mishandeling van een kind groot in het nieuws is. Maar als het stelsel van jeugdbescherming niet wordt aangepast, als moties niet worden uitgevoerd en waarschuwingen van deskundigen worden genegeerd, dan BLIJFT dit gebeuren.

Zorgen voor een kind met een beperking doen ouders met liefde. Maar het is ook zwaar. Want ze moeten dag en nacht alert zijn, terwijl er steeds minder hulp is. Onbegrijpelijk dat gezinnen zo aan hun lot worden overgelaten. In het debat drongen we aan op urgentie en oplossingen.

Zorgen van mensen over woningnood, armoede, gestegen zorgkosten of de toekomst van hun kinderen, is het gevolg van politieke keuzes. Het is verwerpelijk en laf dat politici geen verantwoordelijkheid nemen voor hun beleid, maar wijzen naar vluchtelingen. Om vervolgens olie op het vuur te gooien.

Mensen kiezen niet voor ziekte, een handicap of mentale problemen. Maar zij vangen wel de hardste klappen. Het kabinet legt de rekening bij mensen die niet kunnen protesteren en soms letterlijk geen stem hebben. Dit zijn laffe bezuinigingen!

In de afgelopen jaren had een meerderheid van de Tweede Kamer het liever niet over de tienduizenden kinderen die thuis zitten. Zonder onderwijs, vaak met eenzaamheid en mentale problemen als gevolg. Het is de hoogste tijd om hen wél prioriteit te geven. www.instagram.com/reel/DSpdTkQ...
