If you don’t know, I hatched some coturnix quails 1.5 weeks ago. A few days later hatched some buttons. Coturnix are much larger than buttons. Anyway one of the coturnix quails broke their leg first week, so I separated them into the button quail cage as they were mostly sleeping. Welp.

One of my coturnix quail chicks hurt his right leg. This can happen as they start to develop feathers. But he’s also the smallest so I’ve put in electrolyte water, mashed up his chick starter, made sure he was hydrated before I went to bed. I have a camera on him and he’s separated from the others.

Here’s the noise you can play for hatching Muscovy eggs that helps them hatch, fyi. It’s a noise specifically made by Muscovy mums, and I don’t think I’ve seen this for chickens or quails, just these ducks. I’ll have to read a bit more.
