🚨 Railway News 🚨 What a fantastic journey to travel for the first time along the new #Portishead and #Pill Railway Line 🚂 I was invited by partners GWR, Network Rail and WECA's Mayor Helen Godwin to travel along the freight line to Royal Portbury Dock (the future Portishead and Pill line).

Over 90 years ago Aer Lingus took its first flight to Bristol Airport in 1936. I was pleased to mark 90 years of history by taking a flight in the original model of plane, right over #NorthSomerset.

Even after a successful outcome, the financial side of the process didn’t feel proportionate. After spending over £23,000, only a small portion of that was recovered for John and the other residents.

What made you decide to pursue Right to Manage❓️ For John and the other leaseholders, it came down to the level of service and how their money was being managed. There were concerns about spending and a lack of clear answers when questions were raised.

For both leaseholder and freeholders, when it comes to choosing a managing agent, John’s advice is to take the time to look at different options. In his experience, the size of a company doesn’t always translate to better service, particularly from a leaseholder’s perspective.

This week at Treasury Questions, I raised the real impact that Middle East instability is having on energy bills here in #NorthSomerset. I pressed the Chancellor on what the Government is doing to secure our energy supply chain and protect British consumers.
